The Road To Wimbledon junior tournament is back for 2011!

NATIONAL 14 & UNDER CHALLENGE 2011

HSBC Road To Wimbledon tournament gives opportunities for keen juniors to progress from the club tournament at Bowdon Bowling to the County Finals and then onwards to the National Finals at Wimbledon. The event is in three stages and encourages boys and girls of all standards to play and enjoy competitive tennis.

The 2011 event is open to all boys and girls who:

  1. are 14 and Under on or before 31.08.2011
  2. have a 'British Tennis Membership'
  3. are able to serve, score points (15-0, 30-0, 40-0 etc) and play unsupervised
  1. The tournament will be played with the standard yellow tennis ball. Each match will be best of three sets (first to five games - no tiebreak at 4-4) with the 3rd set being a match tiebreak (first to 10 points).
  2. The deadline is for entering is Midnight on Monday 18th April, so we can do the draw the following day.
  3. Players can only enter the 'Road to Wimbledon' competition once so if they have already entered it at another club / school then they will not be able to play it again here.
  4. To enter, please email me as soon as possible to coach@bbltc.org.uk by Monday 18th April, or put your name down on the form in the clubhouse.
  5. The draw will take place on Tuesday 19th April.
